The Madrid Open University (MOU) is an educational entity right “at your fingertips” that has for motto “teaching how to learn”.

MOU’s methodology is based on a distance teaching system within the framework of the European Higher Education Area and the use of information technologies for knowledge transmission. Nowadays, MOU has 25 Degrees and 38 Master’s Degrees.

The university’s pedagogical bases are funded in state-of-the-art distance education or e-learning, the concept of educational offer adapted to the social and labour reality, and learning processes based on skills and motivation to learn.

Their continuous evaluation system and use of technological-pedagogical tools allow us to develop an active methodology that supports our students to “learn by doing”.

The activity of research, innovation and transfer of Madrid Open University (MOU) is carried out by more than 200 researchers and is organized into nine research groups, which are linked to its four faculties and its School of Technical Sciences and Engineering.

Transfer activity and scientific production of MOU has increased in recent years thanks mainly to the European research projects in which MOU’s R&D Department has been working.

Some of these projects are:

  • “Active Generation 50+ (AGE 50+)”: This project deals With Age Strives for management and identification of tools and methods Aimed. Extending the activity of people aged 50+. The project is focused on employed and unemployed people.
  • “Simple Open Learning for Advancement (SOLA)”: Its aim is training for established “class room trainers” to Work With ICT and the related pedagogical and didactical methods in diverse contexts and to adapt and create specific e-learning contents.
  • “European Personal Branding for Employment (EPBE)”: Its main aim is to encourage among young students employment through the acquisition of digital skills using innovative and learner-centered pedagogical approaches and enhancing digital integration in learning, teaching, training and youth work at various levels.

ANA LANDETA. Diploma in Business Administration at Tathmines College in Dublin and she has also has earned a Master’s Degree in Digital Journalism, a Marketing Postgraduate Course. R&D Director at Madrid Open University. She also is the General Manager of the Cluster Innovation for Internet Business Development (e-Business Cluster). With regards to her current position, she has earned a a Project and Innovation Management course and a Postgraduate Course in Project Management (FP7).

JAVIER BRAVO. PhD in IT and Telecommunications (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid). Javier teaches in the Degree in IT and The Master’s Degree in Education and New Technologies.

RICHARD MABABU. PhD in Psychology (Universidad Complutense de Madrid). Richard teaches in the Degrees in Work Sciences, Psychology and Law.

EDORTA LANDETA. Degree in Social Work and Master’s Degree in Marketing at CEF Business School. He has more than 10 years experience at Orange with large experience in train for trainers.

SILVIA PRIETO. Degree in Law at Madrid Open University. Silvia develops her activity as ICT coordinator in R&D Department at Madrid Open University.

JUAN CARMONA. Master’s Degree in HR Management at CEF Business School. Juan develops his activity at the R&D Department of Madrid Open University as project manager.
